Layer 1 only
Broadcast only — compatible but passive. Vehicle is visible to peers and to ATM but does not negotiate.
If you fly commercially, fly at scale, or share airspace with regulators, certification gives you a defensible position. The programme is in preparation — pre-registration is open.
VerSky Certification is the formal route by which operators, fleet providers, and software vendors can demonstrate that their implementation conforms to the protocol — at a named compliance level, with documented test coverage, and with an audit log a regulator can read.
Certification sits on top of Tier 2 (Reference Implementation) and becomes a prerequisite for Tier 3 (Commercial Licence) at production scale. The programme is being structured to be administered by an independent certification body once the protocol reaches standards-body engagement. Until then, pre-registration captures intent and shapes the launch cohort.
Certification is scoped to a level — operators pick the level appropriate to their use case and certify against it. Higher levels imply lower-level conformance.
Broadcast only — compatible but passive. Vehicle is visible to peers and to ATM but does not negotiate.
Broadcast and negotiate — full participant in peer-to-peer AACP exchanges at intersections.
Adds collective sensing — the vehicle's observations contribute to the shared airspace picture.
Adds trust scoring and cross-vendor interoperability — eligible for cross-manufacturer fleet operations.
Complete protocol — maximum capability, including all four operating modes (Full / Degraded / Peer-Only / Standalone).
Ranges below are illustrative starting points intended to seed a budget conversation. They are not committed prices, not an offer, and not a price list. Final terms — including the existence and cost of any specific tier — publish only ahead of programme launch and supersede anything shown here.
The certification programme is in preparation. The figures in this table reflect current planning ranges; they may shift materially before launch. Use them to scope, not to commit.
| Level | Scope | Annual Programme Fee | Conformance Fee | Typical Audience |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Layer 1 only | $1.5K – $3K | $2K – $4K | Hobbyist fleets, single-vehicle research, evaluation |
| Standard | Layers 1–2 | $5K – $15K | $4K – $8K | Small commercial fleets (<50 vehicles) |
| Advanced | Layers 1–3 | $15K – $40K | $8K – $15K | Mid-size operators, regional service providers |
| Trusted | Layers 1–4 | $40K – $120K | $15K – $30K | Cross-vendor fleets, multi-jurisdiction operators |
| Full | Layers 1–5 | $120K – $400K+ | $30K – $80K | eVTOL / UAM operators, national-scale logistics, regulators |

Pre-registration is open to any of the categories below. Tell us which one you fit — the launch cohort will be drawn from across all four.
Logistics, surveillance, agricultural, infrastructure inspection. Certification is the documentary basis for talking to regulators at fleet scale.
Air-taxi and urban air mobility. Certification is the protocol-layer counterpart to vehicle certification.
UTM platforms, deconfliction services, flight-planning tools. Certifying the integration is the way to be selected by fleets that already care.
Civil aviation authorities, air-navigation service providers. Reference programme for evaluating protocol conformance in your jurisdiction.
Pre-registration tells us your category, jurisdiction, and intended compliance level. There is no fee, no commitment, and your message lands in the same inbox as every other inquiry — we'll respond within a few business days.
